We spent time with fertility and medical professionals and a specialist human rights lawyer, all in Mexico City, to develop the a safe and ethical Mexico City pathway for intended parents. We also wanted to make sure we had our own physical operation in Mexico City, and we’re proud to have our own team of professionals and experts in our offices in the Polanco neighborhood.
We only work with the best partners in Mexico City, including medical and fertility professionals, lawyers and even with the American Embassy in Mexico City, to ensure our pathway is the safest and most efficient option for American intended parents who are choosing this route to parenthood.
A typical Mexico City journey takes under 18 months, which is to the point you return home with your baby.

To meet our criteria for the Mexico City pathway, Intended Parents must:
Be aged under 55 for single or combined age of under 110 for a couple
Have the ability to get legal status in the country you are returning to
Have a medical reason surrogacy is needed (psychological or physical)
Have no relevant criminal convictions
Participate in a psychological evaluation
Participate in a social & economic assessment
A pre-birth order is an agreement, presented to and affirmed by a Mexico City judge and signed by the surrogate and the intended parent(s), before the child is born. The document declares that the intended parents are the legal parents of the child, and that the surrogate is not a parent and is instead recognized as the gestational carrier.
In the state of Mexico City, following the judicial affirmation of the pre-birth order, the hospital where the child is born is legally required to write the names of the intended parents onto the birth certificate for the child. Because Mexican law recognizes procreational will and the fundamental human right of everyone to have a family, gestational surrogacy gives the intended parents a complete guarantee that their parentage is fully settled in the eyes of the law in Mexico.
You will receive two official documents for your child following their birth in Mexico City. The first is the acknowledgment of the birth, the medical certificate or Certificado Nacido Vivo, issued by the hospital. This will list your surrogate as a ’gestational carrier’, along with the details of your baby’s birth. The second document is the official birth certificate issued by the Mexican Civil Registry, Registro Civil. This lists the intended parents as the parents and does not mention the surrogate.
